About

Hello there! I’m a poet, an educator, and an avid reader as well as traveler. After studying creative writing and poetry in college, I spent four years teaching and adventuring in Madrid, Spain, and I am now back in my hometown of Philadelphia teaching Spanish to wacky and wonderful middle schoolers. I love to talk about poetry and books, practice painting in watercolor, explore the wilds of nature, sing and play music, and revel in the unfamiliar. I believe in the transformative and connective power of poetry within and across communities and language as a bridge towards knowing and helping others. Here you’ll find an informal portfolio of my written work, my travels, thoughts on books and poetry, and sketches of life, both visual and created from sound.
