El Retiro

I spent Sunday with Javi at Retiro Park, where we had lunch and took a walk. There were many people sunbathing, people sitting on the steps playing African drums, people riding unicycles while juggling. We lay down in the grass and talked for awhile, observing everything around us.

El Escorial

We attempted to go to Avila today, but we confused the train schedule, so we took a train instead to El Escorial. There wasn’t too much to see; we walked around a bit and then had some hamburgers at a restaurant.
